You’re lying next to me And you say in your not-so-eloquent way That you can’t believe I’m another human altogether “Girl, you feel so close to me…” Close to me Close to me Feel so close Feel so close to me Close to me Close to me Feel so close Feel so close to me You’re lying next to me And I sigh something inconsequently You press close Your arm thrown over me You feel so close, feel so close to me Close to me Close to me Feel so close Feel so close to me Have we met too young Or can we do forever You’re too good You leave me No room for error You’re lying next to me And you say in your not-so-eloquent way That you can’t believe I’m another human altogether “Girl, you feel so close to me…” Close to me Close to me Feel so close Feel so close to me Close to me Close to me (can we do forever?) Feel so close Feel so close to me (no room for error) (can we do forever? no room for error)

Waiting for a change Waiting, for a change All I see is more Of the same old tired ways Waiting for a change Waiting, for a change All I see is more Of the same old tired ways How long must I stomach your chronic complacency How long till I move myself out Move on, still Waiting for a change Waiting, for a change All I see is more Of the same old tired ways Waiting for a change Waiting, for a change All I see is more Of the same old tired ways Why would I say sorry When you’re holding me back Never asking for more Why would I say sorry When you’re holding me back Well I’m asking for more Waiting for a change Waiting, for a change All I see is more Of the same old tired ways Waiting for a change Waiting, for a change All I see is more Of the same old tired ways (waiting, waiting) How long must I stomach your chronic complacency How long till I move myself out Move on How long must I stomach your chronic complacency How long till I move myself out, Move on.

I have so many necessary mistakes to make But it’s too late now I wanna dance the way I used to Wanna kiss somebody new Don’t wanna hold you every night Just some I wanna dance the way I used to Wanna trust I’ll never lose you Gonna wish I never wrote this song I have so many necessary mistakes to make But it’s too late now I don’t think you know Just how fickle I can be I wanna dance the way I used to Wanna kiss somebody new Don’t wanna hold you every night Just some I wanna dance the way I used to Wanna trust I’ll never lose you Gonna wish I never wrote this song And I try and I try To keep on loving you And I try and I try To keep on loving you I wanna dance the way I used to Wanna kiss somebody new Don’t wanna hold you every night Just some I wanna dance the way I used to Wanna trust I’ll never lose you Gonna wish I never wrote this song I wanna dance the way I used to Wanna kiss somebody new Don’t wanna hold you every night Just some I wanna dance the way I used to Wanna trust I’ll never lose you Gonna wish I never wrote this song

Two Weeks 04:19
I’ll speak your language today Tomorrow you’ll pick up mine I head out to the beach You stay and sweat your fever out I come home drunk and salty When I come home You go down on me Is it wrong to love someone after just two weeks? Is it wrong to love someone after just two weeks? You’ll learn to speak my language I’ll learn to speak my mind If I knew you just a little bit better I’d say, “Boy, you need to slow down”. I come home drunk and salty When I come home You go down on me Is it wrong to love someone after just two weeks? Is it wrong to love someone after just two weeks? I thought I could get away with summer romance Now I’m deep in it and I I need to get back when the snow starts to fall I thought I could get away with summer romance Now I’m deep in it and I I need to get back when the snow starts to fall Will you be there? Will you pull away in fear? Will you be there When the snow starts to fall? (Is it wrong to love someone after just two weeks?)

I looked over to where you stood Over the stove And it was something about the way you looked Or the warmth That drew me nearer I don’t wanna be holding onto a stale set of morals I don’t wanna be holding on I wanna make love Can I be more than just your guest? Make love Wrap your arms around my waist Make love Can I be more than just your guest? Make love Slide your hands right up my dress I moved over to where you lay Smoking a cigarette as you played Something about the way you looked Or the scent Drew me nearer I don’t wanna be holding onto a stale set of morals I don’t wanna be holding on I wanna make love Can I be more than just your guest? Make love Wrap your arms around my waist Make love Can I be more than just your guest? Make love Slide your hands right up my dress Could you be my lover? Could you be my lover? I wanna make love Can I be more than just your guest? Make love Wrap your arms around my waist Make love Can I be more than just your guest? Make love Slide your hands right up my dress I don’t wanna be holding on…

You’re in Rome, as far I know I’m two hours, five minutes away. I spoke to my mother this afternoon, She told me it might take a decade… For you to forgive me For you to forget the wrong I’ve done For you to forgive me Let go of all the plans we had For you to forgive me For you to forget the wrong I’ve done For you to forgive me Let go of all the plans we had I dreamt last night you were headed down to Sicily And I saw your mother back home. Her face went white, could barely look me in the eye And I knew it might take a while… For you to forgive me For you to forget the wrong I’ve done For you to forgive me Let go of all the plans we had For you to forgive me For you to forget the wrong I’ve done For you to forgive me Let go of all the plans we had I booked my flight to spend the summer time with you Mere weeks before you left me… Now four years on, all I ever did was love you babe If I made you feel the need to run, I ask - For you to forgive me For you to forget the wrong I’ve done For you to forgive me Let go of all the plans we had For you to forgive me For you to forget the wrong I’ve done For you to forgive me Let go of all the plans we had I’ve been thinking about how it could have been Had I stayed... And somehow all the things we dreamed don’t appeal to me the same, no And it coulda been the way, coulda been the way, etc.

I’ve been holding out for something Better to come my way Holding on You’ve been waiting for me all this time Holding on How can I apologise? How can I apologise? How can I apologise? I just had to make mistakes, babe So did you So did you. How can I apologise? How can I apologise? How can I apologise?

about

South African songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Manu Grace breaks new ground with her latest offering, No Room For Error EP, in an unlocking of freedom and femininity. Committed to earning her way to Berlin to record with producers Ross Dorkin and Robin Brink (a la Beatenberg), Manu found herself spending a life-altering few weeks in Italy that saw her tumbling head-and-heart-first into love, loss and eventually a much stronger sense of self, narrated through 7 tracks off this brave and breezy sophomore EP.

“This record taught me to trust my instincts and to trust the muse. The songs always arrive, if you’re open to receiving them. I approached the process with a sense of freedom and fearlessness -- no idea was ever too wild, and I really love working like that.”
